La propriété appartient à la famille de Watteville depuis 1543 et la tradition viticole sur le site remonte au Moyen Âge, avec des premières cultures attestées dès 1141. Le vignoble s’étend aujourd’hui sur 8 hectares, sur des sols argilo-calcaires. Le domaine est conduit selon les exigences du label Bio Suisse, avec une approche de viticulture de précision, des rendements maîtrisés et une intervention limitée à la vigne comme en cave. Environ 20 % de la production est vinifiée et élevée en amphores, une proportion rare en Suisse, utilisée pour certaines cuvées afin de préserver la pureté du fruit et l’expression du terroir. Das Anwesen befindet sich seit 1543 im Besitz der Familie de Watteville, und die Weinbautradition reicht bis ins Mittelalter zurück; der erste urkundlich belegte Anbau datiert aus dem Jahr 1141. Die Weinberge erstrecken sich heute über 8 Hektar Lehm-Kalksteinböden. Das Weingut wird nach den Richtlinien des Bio-Suisse-Siegels bewirtschaftet, mit präzisem Weinbau, kontrollierten Erträgen und minimalen Eingriffen sowohl im Weinberg als auch im Keller. Rund 20 % der Produktion werden in Amphoren vinifiziert und ausgebaut – ein in der Schweiz seltener Anteil. The property has belonged to the de Watteville family since 1543, and winemaking tradition on the site dates back to the Middle Ages, with the first recorded cultivation as early as 1141. The vineyard now covers 8 hectares of clay-limestone soils. The estate is managed according to the requirements of the Bio Suisse label, with a precision viticulture approach, controlled yields, and limited intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar. Approximately 20% of the production is vinified and aged in amphorae, a rare proportion in Switzerland, used for certain cuvées to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
